As part of its commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration and enhancing global research visibility, the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through the World Class University (WCU) Program, supported the participation of Rizki Sandhi Titisari, M.Si. a lecturer from the Department of Biology, in the 5th World Conference on Multidisciplinary Research & Innovation (WCMRI) 2026. The conference was held virtually from Singapore on July 25, 2026, under the theme “Crossing Boundaries: Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation for a Sustainable Future.”
During the conference, Rizki Sandhi Titisari delivered an oral presentation entitled “Temporal Progression of Multi-Organ Damage in Nile Tilapia Following Subchronic Polypropylene Microplastic Exposure,” co-authored with Sapto P. Purnomo, Rasyidah Fauzia Ahmar, and Hernanda Afra Haniyyah from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro, and the Center of Marine Ecology and Biomonitoring for Sustainable Aquaculture (Ce-MEBSA), Universitas Diponegoro.
Beyond disseminating research findings, participation in WCMRI 2026 served as a valuable platform for international academic networking, enabling interactions with researchers, academics, and professionals from diverse disciplines and institutions worldwide. The conference provided opportunities to exchange scientific perspectives, explore future research collaborations, and strengthen global partnerships in environmental science, aquatic biology, and multidisciplinary research.
Reflecting on the experience, Rizki Sandhi Titisari emphasized that participation in WCMRI 2026 extended far beyond presenting research findings. “The conference provided an excellent opportunity to connect with researchers from diverse academic backgrounds and countries. Exchanging ideas and discussing current challenges in environmental research allowed me to gain new perspectives and identify potential opportunities for future collaboration. Such international networking is essential for fostering interdisciplinary research and strengthening the global visibility of our institution,” she said.
The participation was fully supported by the World Class University (WCU) Program of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro, as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to promote internationalization and foster global research engagement. Through initiatives such as this, FSM UNDIP continues to encourage its academic staff to actively participate in international scientific forums, expand collaborative networks, and enhance the global impact of research conducted at Universitas Diponegoro.
