SEMARANG, Undip Campus – Students of the Biology Study Program at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) recently gained an exceptional opportunity to broaden their academic horizons. Through the Undip Global Classroom (UGC) program, an international class was successfully conducted for the Animal Embryology course (3 Credits) as part of an International Lecture Series.
The program, spanning two sessions on April 24 and May 8, 2026, was led by Rizki Sandhi Titisari, S.Si., M.Si., serving as the lecturer-in-charge and Person in Charge (PIC). To deliver a global perspective, the initiative invited a prominent international expert from Malaysia, Dr. Zarirah Zulperi, as the keynote speaker.

Throughout the two sessions, students explored the comprehensive process of animal embryo development. The in-depth discussions covered several crucial phases:
- Initial Stages: The mechanics of fertilization and early cell division (cleavage).
- Formation Stages: The establishment of germ layers leading up to organogenesis, which shapes the complete structure and organs of the animal.
Going beyond conventional textbooks, Dr. Zarirah also presented a comparative analysis of contemporary embryology research approaches currently evolving across Southeast Asia, providing students with a broader scientific viewpoint.
