KENDAL, July 29, 2026 – In an effort to instill a culture of cleanliness from an early age, Bunga Choliza Putri Trinida, a Diponegoro University (Undip) Community Service (KKN) student from the Biology study program and member of the Undip KKN Team in Laban Village, Kangkung District, Kendal Regency, organized a waste management educational session for local 5th-grade elementary school students.
The activity was designed interactively to ensure the concepts were easy for children to grasp. The session began with an engaging visual presentation outlining the importance of sorting waste based on its type. To reinforce their understanding, the session concluded with an educational game where students actively practiced classifying various types of waste into custom-made bins provided for the activity.
Through this learn-through-play approach, the initiative aimed to equip students not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with basic skills for managing waste at school and at home. The game was specifically crafted to help students easily distinguish between waste categories, making the lesson memorable and practical.
