KENDAL, August 14, 2026 – In an effort to boost the competitiveness of local products, Bunga Choliza Putri Trinida, a Diponegoro University (Undip) Community Service (KKN) student from the Biology study program and member of the Undip KKN Team in Laban Village, Kangkung District, Kendal Regency, successfully compiled a bilingual MSME catalog. The catalog was creatively designed to serve as an effective informational and promotional medium for the village’s flagship products.
The program focused on compiling scientific information regarding the raw materials of the products featured in the catalog. By utilizing a bilingual format (Indonesian and English), the catalog is expected to reach a broader market. Beyond presenting business profiles, it highlights scientific descriptions of the ingredients used in each product along with their associated health and practical benefits.
The compilation process involved careful data collection and analysis of the raw materials. This step was taken to ensure that local products from Laban Village are recognized not only for their taste or functionality, but also for their quality, supported by transparent and informative insights into their ingredients.
As a concrete milestone of the program’s completion, the bilingual MSME catalog was officially presented to the Laban Village Government and representatives of the Village Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK). The handover was accompanied by a documentation session to establish an official record for the village archives.
The Laban Village Government warmly welcomed the catalog and appreciated the innovation brought by the KKN students. The catalog is now officially utilized as the primary promotional tool and information guide for local MSME entrepreneurs, targeting both regional and broader markets. The launch of this bilingual catalog is hoped to serve as a stepping stone for Laban Village MSMEs to expand their market reach and sustainably enhance the local economy. (Source : BC)
